" The fact is that tobacco has a wide range of therapeutic value, largely over-looked (probably do to the stigma pinned to it) by herbalists today. Tobacco has a long history of use mostly as an external medication. Internally it is used for diarrhea, asthma, skin diseases, and urinary complaints. Externally it is a class one liniment for trauma with inflammation and swelling. Finally, tobacco has been and still is an important part of ceremony among many Native American traditions. I use tobacco extensively in external preparations and have found it quite useful for acute asthma in some individuals. thomas Chinese Herbology and Acupuncture acupuncture and herbal information " Knowing nothing, you will be aware of everything.
