Guest guest
My wife will be in Hong Kong in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know of a bookstore where I can have her buy a few texts?. Also, are there any specific texts that you would recommend that are not currently available in English? She will only be able to bring back a few, so I am looking for someone's " desert island " picks, ie - the precious few you would want to have with you if you were stranded on a desert island. -Tim
Guest guest
Tim The Commercial Press bookshop on Hennessy Rd in Causeway Bay has a fantastic collection of TCM books in Chinese. There are so many wonderful books and series only in Chinese I wouldn't know where to start with a recommendation....just go an browse. Even better, if you get a chance, is to go up to the Xin Hua Bookshop (Xinhua Shu Dian) in Shenzhen, just an hour or two up the rail line from HK in the PRC. Go in for the day and stock up with everything your heart could desire. Will Maclean
Guest guest
Unfortunately my wife will be traveling without me. She doesn't know a lick about TCM, & she doesn't speak chinese. I need to send her with a brief shopping list in Chinese. The bookshop recommendations will be useful, thank you.
