I may be incorrect, but it was my understanding that japanese research was done in a peer reviewed transparent manner as in the west. they are a modern industrialized country, one of the richest and most technologically advanced countries in the world with a very high standard of living. I believe the world scientific community holds japanese research in the highest regard, equivalent to german or american. chinese research does not necessarily conform to any accepted standards. while this is changing over time, most of the clinical research over the past 50 years are little better than anecdotal reports in the eyes of western statisticians. I am sure someone will be upset with another of my sweeping generalizations. But like stereotypes, such generalizations are based in fact. It is up to each of us to sort out the details. I'm better at seeing the forest than the trees. My failing. :-)
Guest guest
True, But the point of my post was that one should not just give xiao chai hu tang mechanically to Hep C patients as a " Hep C formula " , without examining the case in depth, including medications.
