as of 4/12/04, PCOM will no longer dispense ban xia containing patent

medicines as they are regulated under DSHEA and thus banned. we are

still seeking further legal comment on raw herbs. However I believe

powdered extracts are also food supplements and thus covered by the

ban, as well. the question I have now is whether it would still be

legal to recommend a banned substance if one did not actually dispense

the product. Well, your malpractice would not cover you, that's for

sure.
