Guest guest
Can anyone refer me to a listing of chinese herbs and the preferred solvent to use in tincturing them? Hobbs says alcohol for reishi, but on this list a couple years ago/Alon asserted that water was the only solvent that would work. There are lots of lists for western herbs, but my request is a chinese herb/solvent list. Lacking that, even a listing of the predominant character of chinese herbs would help, i.e., whether the herb is predominat gum, mucilage, saponin, tannin, fat, resin, wax, alkaloid etc. Thank you in advance, pamela
