RESULTS: In two trials the

Funny one... As far as the former, what is sham about superficial

needling? I guess the Japanese would say that the 'real'/ deep

acupuncture was actually the sham... And as far as the latter, I would

really be curious what negates a point for a condition? What system

are they using?

>>>Guys, while we know these things are significant i do not believe the medical

community that is the one that needs to see positive studies will buy these kind

of arguments. Its like all the surgeons that can not get authorizations to just

scope knees to clean them up these days saying well the study that did not show

benefit did not patient select appropriately. The surgeons are correct, however,

many insurances are still not letting the surgeons do these. And that was from

only one study.

We must figure out a way to do a sham procedure against well done acupuncture.

That is the only type of study that will be considered.

Also since no one stated that they have been paid or gotten authorization to do

acupuncture from state fund in 2004 I am assuming no has been paid. As anyone

gotten authorization from other insurances in the work comp system? I am trying

to get as much information as I can so that I can speak to medical directors in

the system
