Guest guest
Hi All, See this, from Dr Mona Boudreaux, a veterinarian, acupuncturist and herbalist. She distributes herbs and formulas for animals, and is feeling the impact of the FDA's ban. Best regards, Phil ------- Forwarded message follows ------- Date sent: Mon, 12 Apr 2004 13:02:09 EDT Send reply to: <VBMA Dr Mona Boudreaux DVM Hi Colleagues, As an herbal distributor, I will tell you that what he is saying is happening faster than we know it. Common formulas like Banxia Baizhu Tianma Tang, Chaihu Jia Longgu Muli Tang and many others are no longer available to purchase through most companies. We as veterinarians are still able to use them, but we purchase these products through the human companies. The company I deal with is reformulating many of the formulas, yet also discontinuing many formulas. In calling many of the companies 3-4 weeks ago Banxia was sold out because many human herbalists have stocked up on their products. If, as veterinarians, we think this won't affect us much we are WRONG. FDA also is pushing that we will not be able to custom make formulas to sell. We will be able to sell it to our clients (short term), but as a distributor I will have to sell you the ingredients and you will have to make the formulas yourself. (until they stop that too) Just my two cents.
