Guest guest
Recently, there is a lot of alarm about chinese herbs as can be seen from various articles forwarded to the CHA list. I recently posted a revised article about chinese herbs and dietary supplements to the CHA website. With the current ma huang issue, it is more relevant than ever. The purpose of the article is to distinguish us from the corporate health food industry and propose regulation to codify that distinction. It is informative to both the public and professionals and is part of CHA's campaign to involve the public in this fight. The makers and users of professional herbal products need to distance ourselves from the makers of mass market supplements. As I state in this article originally published 4 years ago, this allegiance has only hurt us. We need to clarify our expertise to the public and get them to rally behind us. You can direct your patients to learn more about this issue at http://www..org/articles/herbreg.shtml I also need more to be written on this topic geared towards rallying public support. If you can write, please help. thanks. Sincerely
