Sorry if this posts twice...

I have a 62 lb, 10yr old black lab (female) who I want to put on an

herbal formula for benign fatty deposits whih seem to be fairly

common in the breed.

Question, based on her weight I reduce the dosage by 1/2, but what

about the metabolism. Obviously her pulse rate is higher 110-120,

but also given the lifespan (metabolism) the first yr of life equates

to 21 human yrs and subsequent years to 4 - do I therefore reduce the

dosage by 1/4 for metabolic difference.

On that basis 1/2 for weight, 1/4 for metabolism - so I dose at 1/8th

a standard human rate?

Also - has anyone had muh success using formulas on animals and more

specifically on Lipoma's - if so was there a base with modifications

you would reommend - or should I consider having them surgically

removed and then using the formula?

Thanks

Hi Kayte,

We [my wife and I] have had great success working with animals, especially

dogs around the same weight... We use standard human doses and reduce the

daily intake to about 1/4 cup over a 'milkbone'! I would try the formula

for about a month, giving it a chance to reduce the deposits, prior to

surgery. We give our chow/lab mix kidney/liver/spleen formulas either by

pill or decoction on a regular basis as to enhance her Qi/blood and

spiritual life-force:) Everyone who walks into our clinic request we make

them look like Lana. We actually saved her, as a rescue dog, from kennel

cough/blood deficiency/dysentery within one week of her being on a couple

different formulas.

Good luck,
