Guest guest
Tea oil is derived from a relative of the plant used for tea leaves. The tea oil plant is Camellia oleifera Abel; the oil is obtained from its seed. Tea oil is sweet and cool. It clears heat, transforms dampness, kills worms, and resolves toxin. Tea oil treats sand qi abdominal pain (sand qi refers to patterns of externally contracted heat disease presenting with distention or papules, see Wiseman PD pg.512); tea oil is also indicated for acute intestinal obstruction due to roundworms, scab and lichen, and burns and scalds. Internal use: 30-60g taken with cold water (presumably mixed with the water). It can be applied topically as well.
