PCOM informs me that not a single company we do business with has been

able to produce any documentation that their ban xia products have been

tested ephedrine free. A number of companies have claim this verbally,

but the proof is not forthcoming (and the excuses are reminiscent of

children whose homework is missing). Has anyone received proof of this

from ANY company. We are pretty desperate and our clinic director will

not allow the ban xia products back on the shelf until we have the

paperwork in place. Is there actually any paperwork or this a scam?

John Chen has withdrawn his ban xia products, so I have to wonder why

he has not made a similar claim if it is a simple matter.

Andy Ellis told me that KPC's granules have been tested and shown to

lack ephedrine in the ban xia preparations. He said they have

documentation when they go through customs. That is about all I

know about it, but you might consider posing this question to the US

KPC reps.

Speaking of John Chen, I notice that his book has excellent entries

on tea. It also has an entry on ren zhong bai, which someone asked

about on the list last week.
