Guest guest
" I did not make that assumption. However, it seems you are making an assumption here that I bet you never tested. Try decocting the ingredients for Bai Hu Tang individually and then administering them a few minutes apart to an individual who is properply diagnosed with the proper pattern " That is exactly the research that was done by Dr. Zhang, et al. in Nan Jing, circa 1980. Individual ingredients administered were ineffectual, in one group of patients with pneumonia, whereas when decocted it was effective. ______________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Even if this one study is completely accurate and is able to be extrapolated to the general case, it does not make your case for you. High school chemistry taught us that combining 2 compounds can result in a chemical reaction that would yield a different set of compounds. No magic, no faith, nothing but science is necessary here. What point are you trying to make with this? Brian C. Allen
Guest guest
Brian, I think Yehuda's point here is that, whether or not we can explain phenomena scientfically, that there is something of the miraculous in them. To see the miraculous in the smallest details of creation does not negate science as a tool for understanding it. Wonder is a noble human emotion, one that has inspired scientists as well as spiritual teachers towards their discoveries. Guest guest
pneumonia >>>Bai Hu Tang is only effective in lowering the fever not in treating the pneumonia. I do not know how many patients you have treated with pneumonia, but not only in my practice but also in china i sow probably 150 cases first hand. Sometimes things sound great in theory Alon
Guest guest
I am not sure what you are getting at here, Alon. Are you talking about general treatment of pneumonia, or using bai hu tang as a primary pneumonia prescription? It is a common Buddhist concept as well, called Drala in Tibetan. I also realize that when explaining things, we can always ask another " why? " once an explanation has been stated. However, I am not going to draw conclusions based on that notion. Brian C. Allen

Patients, in general, will not overcome the pneumonia on bai hu tang plus minus. The fever will be reduced however Alon Alon
