Hi All, & Yehuda,

Louis Pasteur, pioneer in bacteriology, is reputed to have said that

the bacterium is nothing and the terrain everything. If one looks at

allopathic approaches to bacterial infections today, those wise

words sem to have fallen on deaf ears.

The key difference between Allopathic versus Integrative Medicine

is that the latter spends much more time in trying to identify and

correct " Terrain Factors " , in the belief that those corrections will

improve the general vitality, resistence of the subject, and thereby,

promote physical, mental and spiritual health.

Electromagnetic stimuli, imperceptible to normal consciousness,

can have massive (beneficial or adverse) effects on the body and

health. For example, Low Power Laser may benefit the body

whether or not the subject is aware of any stimulus. Qigong, as

practiced in non-contact AP, is another example.

The opposite is possible. Some of us have personal experience of

the adverse effects " Noxious Fields " , such as EMFs from high-

tension cables, or the less-well-known " Geopathic Radiation " . Do

EBMers realise that the PRECISE LOCATION of one's bed (or a

cow stall, from which the cows cannot move away), for example,

can have serious adverse effects on health? If that location is

directly above crossing aquifers, as detected by strong dowsing

reaction when one crosses over them, adverse effects can set in

quickly. The best (and only fully effective) Tx in those cases is to

MOVE AWAY from the geopathic zone to a " neutral zone " .

In humans, that move (from a bed over the adverse zone) does not

mean moving house. In many cases, moving the bed as little as

0.5-1.5 metres can make a huge improvement in the " terrain " of the

subject. I have seen many of these cases. please do not

laugh!

These, and many other ideas, not yet proven scientifically, may

seem irrational and " off the wall " . But truth will out; ideas that are

true (reflect reality) will be confirmed sometime, and those that are

untrue (do not reflect reality) will be shown to be of no real value.

THAT is where science has value; it can examine relationships and

measure outcomes if the variables can be measured. But the

researchers / scientists (a) need to be interested to address the

question(s), and (b) need money and facilities to research them.

Fundamentalist ideas (like: " If God wanted Man to fly, She would

have given Man wings " ) can hamper progress. But most of us have

personal philosophies of life that often have Fundaments. For

example, some of us believe in God, Soul, Afterlife, etc, whereas

some do not believe those ideas.

One's philosophy of life [whether " new agey " or fundamentalist, etc]

impacts on one's philosophy of health and medicine. Much of

yesterday's SciFi is today's technology.

Some ancient Romans believed " Mens sana in corpore sano "

[healthy mind in healthy body]. Others probably believed the

reverse, i.e. the the MIND (and Spirit) MUST be healthy IF the

BODY is to be healthy.

People's philosophies differ markedly. However, adherents of

Philosophy Y (say " New Agers " ) should not (IMO) demonise or

denigrate those with Philosophy X (say those who hold fast to the

concept of EBM).

Best regards,
