Guest guest
Hello friends and colleagues, I am looking for a referral in Pittsburgh, Pa. Patient is recovering from ovarian cancer, and is going into her 10th chemo treatment. Very interested and open to herbs and acupuncture. Thanks in advance, Yehuda P.s. I am still hoping to hear back re: herbs contraindicated for cancer. I am reposting below: _____ In the past, a topic of discussion has been anti-cancer herbs. I'd like to ask you the flip side of the coin: Which herbs would be contraindicated as neoplastic for cancer patients? Also which herbs contain phyto-estrogens and as such could be considered as possibly problematic for breast cancer patients? Also, we know that a brilliant and unique benefit of TCM formulae is that they specifically contain assistant (zuo zhi) herbs to to modify or eliminate the toxic effects of other herbs. Can we apply this principle (with our western knowledge) to, in essence, " detoxify " the neoplastic or estrogenic effects of other herbs in a given formula?
