Guest guest
Now that I have read the actual research study instead of the crazy WebMD article, I can see that it was actually a meticulous project that tried to address methodological flaws of previous trials. So much for my jumping to conclusions... However, one problem I found with the methodology lies in the definition of hypertension. Haven't the definitions for Western diseases been highly influenced by drug and insurance companies? Hasn't the acceptable blood pressure level been decreasing as more blood pressure-lowering drugs have been marketed? Perhaps many of the " research subjects " had blood pressure levels that didn't need to be lowered even though they were defined as hypertensive by biomedical authorities. Someone give me some feedback on this...:-) -- Jamie Friends. Fun. Try the all-new Messenger
