Guest guest
For those of you who read Chinese. I was wondering if the standards for the pattern differentiation used in Chinese research is included in the text of the article. I have never seen it included in the translations and was wondering if this was a problem of ommision on the translator's part. One Chinese colleague told me that it is usually included in the Chinese articles. Thanks Rich Blitstein L.Ac. PCOM Chicago
Guest guest
Rich, It may or may not be included in the original Chinese. Several years ago, it was less likely to be included. However, the Chinese have wised up in terms of Western research standards. So nowadays, the criteria for the Western medical diagnosis and Chinese medical pattern discrimination is usually given, along with citations for the written standards being used. To me, this is a definite leap forward, and, usually I include these standards and citations in my translations. Bob
