Guest guest
the new CA naturo law says • SB 907 does not allow NDs to administer general or spinal anesthesia, perform surgery, abortions, and acupuncture, or to practice traditional Chinese medicine or any other practice requiring a California license. however the california acupuncture law does use the use words traditional or chinese or medicine even once, so I wonder what legally defined practice they are actually prohibited from doing. they are legally allowed to prescribe chinese herbs and formulas, just not practice TCM. that is about as clear as the term traditional asian remedies. I would say that in CA, MD's, D.C., NDs, HHPs, laypersons and L.Ac. can legally prescribe chinese herbs to people, depending on how they represent themselves. It is clear that no one profession controls chinese herbology and it will never be placed in our control, so what are we going to do about this? Work across professional lines towards a common goal or keep trying to carve out a price of the pie all for ourselves.
