Guest guest
Hello everyone, A woman is bringing in her 1 1/2 yr old son today who has had infantile eczema since birth. The medical doctors have not been able to help. Can someone expound upon dosages of herbs for me. I know they are significantly less than children. I'm not sure yet how we can administer these herbs, if herbs is the correct way to go? I am wondering about using a larger dropper to give the herbs, but maybe that is too impractical. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Marjorie
Guest guest
Marjorie, I commonly use droppers for children this age. In my experience, don't worry too much about dose. Just write the Rx as you would for an adult. Then give the child droppers-full throughout the day. You're going to wind up throwing at least some (if not most) of the decoction away. Doesn't matter. In my experience, the issue of precise dose is not as important as many small, regular doses. For eczema, my experience is that a combination of internally administered and externally applied meds is necessary. Good luck and best wishes.
