Guest guest
Thanks, Michael. I'll look up shimian and try this on my patient. If you come straight outward from shimian to where the soft flesh meets the bone, on either side of the foot. I start there until they feel the heat sensation penetrate to shimian, then I will work the sole of the foot from kidney 1 to shimian. I don't stress about a cm dx, many of these patients have been men that really only wanted that issue addressed. Off the top of my head, recently a tennis player, a locksmith, and a salesperson and highschool football coach. Yes, they had different issues and would have different cm dx, but they are very happy that I was able to help their main complaint. Two of these people I only treated once in the office and gave them the moxa to burn at home. They both are completely pain free now. The salesperson had obvious ki xu signs when I met him, of which some have cleared up. (Urinary difficulty and edema in the lower legs) Hope you find this helpful. Guest guest
The smokeless moxa poles are dangerous. Pieces break off onto patients, and they can cause carbon monoxide poisoning in enclosed rooms. A study warning of their use was published in the Journal of a few years ago.
