Guest guest
Does anybody have any experience or useful information on Peyronie's Disease? The patient has a mild case without pain that has gradually developed over the past few months. Beyond the basics of WM, does anyone have any clinical gems or CM information about it? Thanks, Eric
Guest guest
Eric, Blue Poppy Research Report #83, " Penile Infuration, " the Chinese medical name for this condition. I'll check out the article. You should suggest the term " Penile Infuration " to Nigel, it hasn't made it into his dictionaries. Is that the WM Chinese name or an original CM name? Guest guest
Eric, Sorry, there's a typo in my reply. It should be penile induration, not penile infurcation. As far as I know, Nigel does not include the modern Chinese names for Western medical conditions in his dictionary. For that, you need to go to a Chinese-English Medical Dictionary. There are such already on the market. You just have to be able to read Chinese. Bob
Guest guest
Bob, Thanks for the clarification. I didn't realize it was a synonym for the condition, and was simply the WM name in both languages. Which dictionary do you use for English-Chinese for WM? I have only a large (and slightly old) WM dictionary that goes from Chinese to English but not the other way. Nigel does have modern Chinese names for Western conditions in his newer dictionaries (1300+ in the electronic one he uses), but I suspect that they are pretty much restricted to the conditions that are referenced in TCM texts.
