swelling on top of feet

hi everyone

I now have two patients with swelling/edema on top of

their feet but not around ankles and no other edema.

both patients have a heart disease with a fast

irregular pulse. differentiations are a bit different

but there is qi and blood deficiency, phlegm, blood

stasis, spirit not calm.

I think Miriam Lee considers this type of swelling da

sign of excess heat which makes sense from an

acupuncture perspective.

any insights anybody
