The Core Curriculum Committee met in San Francisco on July 17-18

pursuant to an action item in the Council's Strategic Plan that

directed the Committee to develop a draft curriculum for a stand-alone

doctorate in acupuncture and in Oriental medicine for presentation to

the Council and to ACAOM's Doctoral Task Force for review and

discussion (Goal 3, Item 5).

Please review these documents and send your comments to the

national office, which will in turn forward them to the Committee.  The

Committee's proposed changes to ER 8.10 are indicated in bold on this

document.  To facilitate the Committee's analysis of your feedback for

ER 8.10, please score the block adjacent to each bolded competency on

the attachment with the number that corresponds with one of the

following three comments:

       (1)  Support

       (2)  Support with reservations (please list your reservations

separately)

       (3)  No Support

Please send your scores on the attachment (download at

http://www..org/entryleveldoc.pdf )

and any comments to the national office no later than Friday, Oct. 8,

so that the Committee will have an opportunity to analyze the results

in time for the Council's fall meeting in Las Vegas.

Thank you,

David
