Guest guest
So, back to the hernia question. My original question was does anyone know any herbs to help 'heal' a hernia. In researching this more I found it peculiar that all herbs for hernia, seemingly, were symptomatic. I.e. yan hu suo, xiang fu, ju he, li zhi he, hu lu ba, shan zha, etc etc.(Of course moving qi and blood help heal, but it seemed that most are mentioned for the pain). With the patient in question, there is no pain, and he opted to (currently) do no surgery (don't ask me why), but instead, is going to try prolo therapy. Anyway has anyone found anything written or have ideas on herbs to help heal the tissue instead of just stopping the pain. I have written a formula with some movers, like above, but other herbs like bie jia that are known to help connective tissue disorders (and just increase yin). Any further ideas. -

Guest guest
To cure a hernia, you need surgery. There is no CM herbal curative treatment for hernia. I had laparascopy surgery last summer for an inguinal hernia. Did my research beforehand. That's why there are no treatments for hernia listed in contemporary CM texts or journals. It may not be in the book, but I would assume there are herbs that at good at healing tissue such as fascia etc, that would help in this process... Hence the bie jia pick... Do you have any other ideas? If I remember I will get the whole Rx tomorrow and send it in... -Jason Chinese Herbal Medicine offers various professional services, including > board approved continuing education classes, an annual conference and a > free discussion forum in Chinese Herbal Medicine. > > > >
