Diabetic feet and fused spine

I treat a lot of patients with diabetic neuropathy.

Acupucture is excellent for helping with this both in

the hands and the feet. I have used muscle channel

points pointing down into the feet or hands i.e. SP6,

K8, LV5, ST39, GB39, UB59 or GB 38, LV3 EA and GB39,

UB 56 EA - adding some appropriate points for the

overall body. It takes a few treatment to begin to

show results but even people who can come only once a

week usually will move. I have them do massage daily

at home.

The fused vertebrae is something that I've treated a

few of. I don't know if I ever " cured " the problem

but have had good success with acupunucture reducing

the pain to a level that is tolerable to do activities

of daily living. I usually try Zhu's scalp

acupuncture paired with the ashi points in the local

area of only the worst point of pain. Sometimes I use

muscle channel points as above paired with a second

same channel point for EA i.e. UB59, UB40 or GB39,

GB40. Cupping, moxa, bleeding all are helpful.

Bleeding is remarkable on main ashi points.

Good luck.
