There are several good acupuncturists in Asheville, NC (over 50). Your

in-laws could probably get good treatment from any number of them. With so

many qualified acupuncturists here, it really comes down to who they will

feel comfortable with. Here are a couple of names of practitioners that are

highly skilled, but also provide a professional office (which helps when

someone has never been to an acupuncturist before).

James Whittle, L.Ac, Blue Ridge Acupuncture Clinic, 959 Merriman Avenue,

Asheville, NC

828-254-4405 - James is a superior herbalist. His office is fully

staffed. I believe he specializes in cancer treatment.

Susan Paul, L.Ac, PRN, Asheville Family Acupuncture, 70 Woodfin Place,

Asheville, NC

828-236-1704 - Susan may be a great choice for you. She is a former nurse

practitioner and may help allay any hesitancy your in-laws may have. She is

a trained herbalist (trained by Ted Kapchuk), but her specialty is

definitely acupuncture.

The best is probably Whitney Williams, Balance Acupuncture. She is actually

in Black Mountain, the next little town over from Asheville. I'll give you

her number just in case your in-laws are willing to drive. Whitney has

superior skills all the way around, but what makes her truly great is her

ability to be compassionate while maintaining professionalism. I believe

this is what makes her so popular and her patients so willing to follow her

protocols. Her number is 828-669-8800.

I hope this information is helpful.

Now that Vioxx is off the market, my in-laws are finally willing to try TCM!

Can anyone recommend someone in Asheville, NC?

Many thanks,
