Guest guest
I noticed the new clavey/bensky MM lists ban xia as zhi ban xia in recognition that we always use a prepared form of the herb. I wonder if this is a solution to the ban xia ban. Ban xia is banned due to ephedrine content. zhi ban xia has none. If all products were labeled as containing zhi ban xia, pinelliae preparata, then the ban would not apply. different name and different biochemistry. Personally, I do not believe our any ban xia containing products on the american market are actually affected by this ban as the ban is on ephedrine alkaloids. We should continue to sell all such products and put the burden on the government to prove that a product we sell contains ephedrines. Seizures based upon names alone will not hold up. this is a biochemical issue. Chinese Herbs
