I really like the Acuvision software (in which I have no vested interest). Jack Miller was so enthusiastic about it, we are having it installed on our library and clinic computers at PCOM. It covers TCM, five phase, open point, channels and lots more. It is also a very good clinical program for selecting formulas and herbs. Roger's software is herbs only and has significant additional value as an educational and testing tool, but is less comprehensive in its treatment planning options for someone doing the full range of OM. For those who have already mastered the basics and memorized all the herbs, formulas and patterns, just requiring a boolean search tool, I would go with Acuvision. Acuvision is at archibel.com. For those who still need to really learn their herbs, formulas and syndromes the Herbal tutor uses cutting edge programming and case based lessons to dramatically increase retention for self-motivated learners. It is still on sale until 11/30: Traditional Chinese Herbal Sciences CD-ROM: Professional Self-Study Course http://www.rmhiherbal.org/tchs-cd/ The complete reference database, self-study guide, and self-testing program for physicians and health professionals. For PC or Mac. Special sale until November 30, 2004 - * Basic option - a $474 value, available now for $295. * Pro option - a $860 value, available now for $495. Sale price includes 3 e-books and 2 print textbooks (while supplies last) at no additional cost. CHA professional members will receive an additional 10% discount off of the final sales prices listed above.
