Guest guest
Dear group, I was having a discussion yesterday with a colleague, and we were discussing our preferences for cooking times and dosages for minerals/ rocks / shells etc. As you know one can order these in bulk (chunks) or ground up powder. If one uses the powder there is obviously more surface area therefore (atleast IMHO) one needs less cooking time or decreased dose (vs. the chunks). Therefore I pointed out that the original dosage in formals must be taken into consideration when using powders. But my friend brought up an interesting point. It is his contention that Ancient China had the technology to grind such substances and he believes that traditionally such items were ground and it is not the dose of the powder that needs adjusting but the chunks. Does anyone know what form was traditionally used? Furthermore, how do others adjust dosages of items (powder vs. bulk) and cooking times? Is there any research on the difference in actually surface area extraction vs. chunks. Any thoughts? -Jason tel: <https://www.plaxo.com/add_me?u=30064918855 & v0=295000 & k0=1975548621> Add me to your address book... <http://www.plaxo.com/signature> Want a signature like this?
