I believe zi he che has technically been illegal to buy or sell in the

US since the late 80s, FYI. Trade in uman tissue products is banned

under AIDS prevention agreements unless certain strict criteria are

met. The chinese herb trade does not even remotely meet these

criteria, which require all such tissues to be traceable to a database

of samples of each item (not batch) to prove it has been tested for

HIV and other blood brone illnesses.

I don't know . . . I have two bottles of the granules from KPC in my herb

room, and use 'em a fair bit.

there are two possibilities. KPC uses a controlled supply of placenta in taiwan

or they are

violating the law. I suspect the former. It is raw herbs from the PRC where

the concern

lies. Taiwan is more of a modern regulated state than the PRC.
