ALERT to WebMasters of CAM Sites: VBMA Site has been deleted from WWW

Hi Susan, Louise, & All,

 

Dr. Susan Wynn DVM, WebMaster of VBMA (Vet Botanical Med

Assoc) has issued very bad news tonight. She wrote:

> This is to alert you that the server on which the VBMA website is

> hosted has been hacked, and all the files destroyed.

 

VBMA [ http://www.vbma.org ] was the best western veterinary

herbal medicine site on WWW. It has been deleted from WWW! I

checked twice tonight. It was not accessible.

 

It might be useful to alert ALL of your CAM WebMasters to ensure:

 

1. Have top quality firewalls installed to prevent intruders into their

WWW files;

 

2. Have SEVERAL copies of every file in safe storage;

 

3. Have 2 or more " Mirror Sites " uploaded on WWW, preferably in

2 or more DIFFERENT CONTINENTS.

 

Susan, I am sorry to hear that the VBMA Site has been hacked

from WWW. I hope that you can get it back online soon. Can your

ISP techies trace the IP address of the hacker and report it to the

authorities?

 

I feel that the opponents of CAM are getting desperate because

their WWW ratings are below those of CAM. I would not be

surprised if there is a conspiracy to destroy the better CAM sites

on WWW, especially those maintained by professionals qualified

in conventional WM as well as one or more CAM modalities.
