Guest guest
This was sent by Jack Miller, PCOM president, to all PCOM faculty, staff and students, after a version of the AIMS propaganda was sent through our school email system by the student council. As you can see, he vigorously counters the AIMS propaganda and advocates a more rational, fully informed approach to handling this issue, one reasonable option for which might involve dissolution of the board. Please note that Jack's only words are those below. these above are all mine. > There is a need to add some information to the message circulated by > the > PCOM Student Council. > > I see nothing in the recommendations of the Little Hoover Commission > that > would limit our independent status in California. Guest guest
I agree with Jack. Our profession has been prone to too many knee-jerk reactionary measures, rather than being proactive. This situation may provide some opportunities to do something positive. The acupuncture board has often been a source of much grief for the profession in California. While I don't think it necessarily should be abolished, I think a reformation is long overdue.
