Guest guest
The best discussion of this I have found is in Acupuncture Medicine by Yoshiaki Omura (page 176). Basically he reports the research that shows the clear relationship to lung disease. Even Hippocrates associated clubbing with lung disease. Omura lists the possibilities in a decreasing order of importance: lung disease (at least 75% of cases) heart disease gastrointestinal diseases liver diseases miscellaneous diseases The lung disease he refers to ranges from lung tumors and cancer to tb to lung abcess. I know a girl who has clubbed fingers and it was a key to her getting tested for CF - which she ended up having. Hope this helps. Guest guest
This is the kind of relationships we need to see more of both in our discussions as well as in educational programs. Medical diseases only form a very limited number of patients, many may only have a single sign or symptom sometimes. Our creation of an integrated medicine must include this very rellevant info.
