Guest guest
Hi All, I need a referral for a cancer specialist for a friend in Vancouver,Canada. She is 45 yr., and has just been diagnosed with 5 cancer tumors on the omentum. The primary has not yet been found. Western treatment has not yet been started and she would like herbs as well. Please e-mail me for further information. Thank you, Mary

I found this little blurb on him. Philippe B. Riviere (AKA Li Weiya) has been involved with Traditional (TCM) and acupuncture since 1980 through the North American College of Acupuncture and the European University of Chinese Medicine (tutor: Pr Leung Kok-Yuen, retired in Vancouver). In 1992, he received a master's degree in Chinese Language Studies from the University of Paris 7 (France). After an up-grade education of 5 years (1988-1993) in traditional Chinese oncology (zhongliu) and a clinical training in China, P. Riviere has specialized his professional practice in the clinical analysis and therapeutics of malignant tumors. He has collaborated with several oncologists in Beijing and he has taught TCM to physicians in Prague (Czech Republic). Since February 1995, P. Riviere has a private practice in Vancouver (Canada) with a total of over 800 documented visits per year of cancer patients all diagnosed by the local Cancer Agency. He is using the protocols of Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine integrated to conventional cancer treatments. He is a Registered Acupuncturist (R. Ac.) and a registered Doctor of Traditional in the College of TCM Practitioners and Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA) and he is currently a member of the Qualified Acupuncturists & Traditional Association. P. Riviere was in charge of the TCM program in the Prostate Health Clinic based at the Tzu-Chi Institute (Vancouver General Hospital). He is also member of the advisory panel for Complementary/Alternative Medicine (CAM) at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Cancer Center, and an advisor at the TCM Chuzhen Institute (Paris) and at the society of SinoBiology (Prague). P. Riviere is very focused in maintaining a patient/practitioner relationship based on respect, compassion and education. Throughout his career his primary concern is in the clinical setting.
