guilds are disgusting remnants of feudalism. that's what the

governor's report and the LHC report said boards had become, including

ours. All of a sudden, the most overly regulated state in the country

seems pretty libertarian. We no longer have our outrageous car

registration fees, marijuana is ostensibly legal for most intents and

purposes, property taxes remain locked in place for decades now, the

healthcare freedom act protects the unlicensed practice of many healing

arts and now the guilds which have posed as consumer protection

agencies for so long look like they are about be broken. We truly are

on the brink of a new age and who would have ever thought it could

happen here?

Along with all of these accomplishments comes loss of scope, less

professional respect and little or no insurance reimbursement (unless you

are an MD). Remind again, how all of this is good. Without group support

of us, we are LOSING our professional ops. There is power is numbers and as

long as we continue to undermine our own profession, we are our own worst

enemies. Sad.
