OK, I'll bite.... based on what you describe ...

tai zi shen 15, mu xiang 3, fang feng 3, Yu Zhu 6, Mu dan pi 6, fu ling 12, chai

hu 9, Bai

shao 9, Xiang fu 6, chen pi 6, sheng jiang 9.

For patents I would do Yu Ping Feng and Shu Gan Wan together. Also have him

drink fresh

ginger juice/tea to get the intestinal flora really together.

 

So maybe that will jog some new ideas for you.

Joseph,

I would add Hong Teng to your formula or Doug's formula. It clears

heat and toxins and has the action of healing intestinal abscesses.

I have treated a few Crohns patients in the last few years and while

they had the active lesions I added this herb to their formulas.
