I have been using granulated herbs and formulas for over 5 yrs now - better

pt compliance than bulk herbs and I see positive results.

My question to the group is: Which brand(s) have you all found is/are most

cost-effective and available? (I've run into trouble with one specific

company always being " out of stock " or backordered quite often.)

Any thoughts or experiences from your practices?

(and, yes, I'm sure we've talked about this ad nauseum before, but there

must be some new people out there who are interested.)

I don't know how they all compare in price, but in most granules that

are used in the States come from Taiwan. In Taiwan, SunTen (shun tian

tang) is the most famous because it is the oldest and largest. It is

used in the most hospitals and clinics, but KPC (gang xiang lang) is

regarded as a similar in quality and is also very widely used in

hospitals and clinics. The one that is sold under Qualiherbs in the

US is regarded as the best for exterior-resolving formulas because

they are reputed to have a better process for the more volatile

components. They are smaller but also well-regarded. As to the many

others, I cannot say. All of the above have a very good reputation.
