Guest guest
Hi, While I think it is an admirable attempt to try and protect these intellectual property rights, China has forgotten one thing: Because of the cultural revolution, there are many highly skilled doctors of that has fled to other countries and are now in the hua qiao (overseas Chinese) category. How are you going to patent their knowledge? And as for the biotech companies, they will always be missing the point. Chinese herbal medicine is beyond cellular components of things. Unless you have studied how to use Chinese Herbs, it can be really dangerous to do what they are doing. But they will probably find that out the hard way after killing many people, and then blame it on the Chinese medicine, saying that it is not safe. Just like the Xiao Chai Hu Tang incident in Japan... Guest guest
Funny thing, I had dinner and met with these folks here in San Diego three years ago, and spoke with them about complex pharmacology being the wave of the future. It was interesting to see this article and the result of their work.
