My Maths are rusty. Maybe those good at Maths might check out this

calculation:

 

Assuming that each of the 5 Fugues relates to one specific member of

the 5 Yin Channel-Organ Systems:

 

The odds of Fugue #1 relating to LV are 1/5

The odds of Fugue #2 relating to HT are 1/4

The odds of Fugue #3 relating to SP are 1/3

The odds of Fugue #4 relating to LU are 1/2

The odds of Fugue #5 relating to KI are 1/1

 

Therefore the combined (multiple) odds of Fugue sequence #1 to #5

relating to the Sheng Cycle sequence, beginning with LV, are

1/(5x4x3x2) = 1/120.

 

In statistical terms, this would be classified as very significant.

 

Questions from a " Devil's Avcocate " :

 

1. Who numbered the Bach Fugues? Did he do it himself?

2. Did the person who numbered them know of the Sheng Cycle and its

relationships to the Yin Organs?

3. Are we talking of " Divine Inspiration " or psychic sense of the

numberer here, or fantasy on your part?
