Guest guest
Hobbs wrote a very nice little book that I happen to have, " Foundations of Health, The Liver & Digestive Herbal " , isbn 0-9618470-8-5, published back in '92. Though written for laypeople, it presents background info on digestion according to modern Western anatomy and physiology and TCM, natural integrative therapies (many of them naturopathic--he is a student of Bernard Jenson), and a short materia medica with 25 or so TCM and western herbs. It's folksy, yet informative and I like the way he integrates different approaches, but focuses specifically on digestive health. Guest guest
He's also written an excellent book on medicinal mushrooms. I agree with Bob, I've met Christopher and he is a great guy. I just don't think we should be giving mixtures of western and chinese herbs to patients without a lot of testing and trials by TCM practitioners.
