Guest guest
Warren, I'm perplexed why you would want to buy a formula whose ingredients you do not know. Can you enlighten me further? Guest guest
Warren, I believe this is the Chinese formula Wen Jing Tang (Warm the Channels/Menses Decoction, ak.a. Tang-keui and Evodia Combination). Wen Jing Tang has 12 ingredients and includes all the ingredients in Unkei-to mentioned on the Web from a Google search. It also makes sense in terms of what this Rx is said to do in terms of pharmacodynamic effects. Wen Jing Tang is available fron Qualiherb/Finemost, SunTen/Brion, Mingtong, Evergreen, KPC, etc. Bob , <wcargal9@b...> wrote: > Does anyone know what the composition of the kampo formula unkei-to is and where I could purchase it in the States, honso does not carry it. > > Thanks, > > Warren Cargal, L. Guest guest
Bob, Good question. Here is the source material I was basing my inquiry on: J Reprod Med. 2001 May;46(5):451-6. Effects of unkei-to, an herbal medicine, on endocrine function and ovulation in women with high basal levels of luteinizing hormone secretion. Ushiroyama T, Ikeda A, Sakai M, Hosotani T, Suzuki Y, Tsubokura S, Ueki M Effects of Unkei-to on FSH, LH and Estradiol in Anovulatory Young Women with Hyper- or Hypo-Functioning Conditions DOI No: doi:10.1142/S0192415X0300134X Source: The American Journal of [An International Journal of Comparative Medicine East and West], Vol. 31, No. 5 (2003) 763-771 Was interested in knowing the composition as I have an infertility pt w/ high T and PCOS. Research was of interest and of course her s & s would have to support the formula.
