Guest guest
Hi, I am treating a 41 year old woman for fertility issues. She had 3 miscarriages last year, and attempted an IVF cycle before she came to see me. I diagnosed her pattern as kidney yang deficiency and blood deficiency. She has a pale tongue with teethmarks, no coat. The pulse is weak on both kidney positions. Her basal body temperature is low, it ranges from 97 F to 98 F at the peak, with most days around 97.4. She has low back pain, a low libido, is very cold, urinates 1-2 times per night and has dry skin/lips. She has a hard time staying asleep at night, and often worries/feels anxious. The herbal formula I gave her for her post menstrual phase was Bai Wei Di Huang Tang, with the addition of dang gui 10g, bai shao 10g, bai ji tian 10g, tu si zi 10g and suan zao ren 10g. (KPC granules) My question is, will the suan zao ren lower your body temperature at all? How strong of an effect on body temp does suan zao ren have, especially combined in a formula with many warm herbs? Thanks in advance for any advice.
