I don't see a good reason to needle around an unidentified " pimple " . This seems like asking for trouble for all the reasons Joe pointed out. I think if you felt the need to help but wanted to experiment you should have at least asked a teacher what they thought of the situation and how they might approach it. The reality is, all students, at least all the ones I knew when I was a student and I think most of my students here, needle each other and themselves without supervision. I am not condoning this practice nor am I encouraging it, however if the student is mindful it is likely to be helpful practice for them. That being said, Holly, I don't think you were being mindful and you stepped out of what I would call exceptable and safe experimentation.
