Met with Dr. Zhang Tues Apr. 12, 2005. No seizures this week. Sleep

pattern has been almost predictable, one good night's sleep followed by

one bad night's sleep. Common denominator on bad nights is evening

excitement or even moderate stimulation. Urination is settling down

again, now every 2-3 hours during the day, and twice during the night.

Now able to control bladder, even at night. Stools have been well formed

and soft, so dose back down to 4 g daily. Spasms better, though become

painful and intense with minimal stimulation. Balance has only improved

slightly, with very little stamina, easily winded when walking.

Swallowing better, though still can hear phlegm when she clears her

throat. A lot of right shoulder pain as she tends to favor that side.

Irritable, especially when unable to sleep and the day after.

 

> Tongue: red tip better, cracks and yellow coating.

> Pulse: right: wiry

> left: choppy

> > Formula strategy: transform phlegm fire,clear the liver fire and

> extinguish wind, calm the shen, and nourish the heart and the yin.

> > Formula: ban xia 9, Qiang huo 9, huang qin 9, zhi zi 9,

> > fu shen 12, sheng di huang 15, dan nan xing 9,

> > zhu ye 9, gou teng 15 , huang lian 6 ,chen pi 9,
