Guest guest
One other thing--I came across the herb meng shi in my materiae medica, including an very successful anti-seizure formula for it's use, in Chen. In Him-che Yeung's handbook of Chinese Herbs, she mentions another formula by name which also sounds interesting: meng shi gun tan wan, but it's neither mentioned in her nor in Bensky's formula book. Can anyone help with the formula as well as comments as to it's source and use. Thanks again, Yehuda On Wed, 4 May 2005 11:35:01 -0500 " " <alonmarcus writes: > So rather than thinking about the wind " filling " > the emptiness, > >>>>>>There have been others (Chinese articles) that have used the > image of evils " filling " so-called empty spaces caused by deficiency > in general. Guest guest
Yehuda, it is maddening. I know I have the formula somewhere. I can¹t find it. You could take a look at Gun tang wan. Pg 424 of F and S. it the only reference to the book to meng shi. And it¹s kind of a mix of the strategies you¹ve been using. meng shi da huang Huang qin Chen xiang. Drains fire, expels ( my word, not a perfect choice) phlegm. Used for dian kuang: yin and yang madness. hope this helps, Cara > One other thing--I came across the herb meng shi in my materiae medica, > including an very successful anti-seizure formula for it's use, in Chen. > In Him-che Yeung's handbook of Chinese Herbs, she mentions another > formula by name which also sounds interesting: meng shi gun tan wan, but > it's neither mentioned in her nor in Bensky's formula book. Guest guest
Thanks Cara, After I wrote, I saw Gun tang wan in Bensky, and as you say, it follows simplistically the same essential strategy we have been taken.
