Guest guest
Z'ev, I think that you have hit the nail on the head. One who (though capable of, nonetheless!) tries to test and diagnose from a western perspective, while doing a thorough Chinese examination and treatment is spreading themselves much too thin and both aspects will suffer. Is not ideally, the future of the profession to work in a completely integrative environment, with Western and Oriental physicians working as equals, each diagnosing according to their differentiation, and each consulting with the other as peers. Are not two always better than one? But there's a danger: If we are not vigilant and assertive, the status quo mentality of the mainstream Western physician will continue to look at us as just another quaint eclectic branch of " alternative medicine " rather than as proactive progressive equals, utilitizing a separate but equal medicine. Ideally this integration will one day be implimented in both a clinical AND HOSPITAL setting. Hopefully, in the not too distant future.
