Guest guest
I haven't upgraded either, but have seen it in operation and it looks great. Mike says it improves on many of the deficiencies of the first version. Better character recognition, even with incorrect stroke order. And it has 200,000 entries(the original Oxford one had about 25,000 C-E entries). As you can see on the site, you can query Mike at support. Ann Pleco is the best out there for a PDA dictionary although not without its frustrations although I haven't upgraded to the new version yet. doug , <snakeoil.works@m...> wrote: > Well, there is a great Chinese dictionary available for pda's at www.pleco.com, developed by Mike Love. He would probably be available to answer q's about it. A fun little gadget that allows for you to input the character with the stylus. Also search via pinyin or Eng. word. Greatly facilitates character look-up. There's a couple versions: the cheaper original version based on the Oxford Chin/Eng. dict. and the recent up grade that adds another whole dictionary. Check it out. > Ann > > Gang, > A friend/former student said he just spent all his money on a PDA and asked me if there are any TCM books available in that format. I said I don't know, but I'll ask. Guest guest
Just wanted to thank those who answered my query about PDA books and such. I always appreciate this forum for the many questions that can be answered readily here but not so readily most anywhere else. Thanks! Long time between posts these days (sorry if I missed any - I remember the days when you were quite active here and we met at the first CHA conference). What have you been up to lately?
