TWO fundamental principles to make cancer history

Hi Z'ev & All,

I liked very much the slogan that resonated around the world in recent

weeks: " Make Poverty HIstory " .

Like poverty, cancer is an obscene and man-made evil. But humanity

has not a great record in combating evil. Let us work also to " Make

Cancer History " .

Z'ev, IMO we need to retain and promote at least TWO fundamental

principles in the search for effective cancer-prevention and cure.

1. Boost and Rectify APOTOSIS:

Apotosis is the body's NATURAL mechanism of programmed cell death.

Santa Fe page [ www.santafe.edu/education/steinmetz/steinmetz04.php

] also has this:

" Sabrina Spencer ... has switched to a theoretical/systems biology

approach to studying cancer ... She is interested in understanding the

uncontrolled growth resulting from deregulation of the cell cycle during

cancer. She believes that the processes that lead to cancer formation

cannot be understood individually; they must be understood as part of a

complex network of interacting parts. A better understanding of the

mathematics of cancer progression may reveal that simple rules

regarding the order and nature of mutations acquired can predict the

timing and extent of the cancer that develops. "

Are Thoresen's ideas on cancer strike a deep resonance in my gut.

IMO, he is correct that it is ESSENTIAL that the body have properly

controlled apototic functions when the cells have lost their normal

physiological functions.

As I understand it, Are's main thesis in cancer therapy is that the body

has LOST CONTROL of the apototic process in the cancerous areas.

That is the fundamental basis for his use of the KO CYCLE in cancer

therapy.

TCM teaches that the KO CYCLE " imposes control " . Therefore, Are

tried this in cancer. For example, in a primary LU cancer [Metal], Are

would use a point on the KO Channel, preferably the YIN Channel of the

KO Pair, HT [because Fire (HT) Controls Metal (LU)].

By now, Are has treated >600 cancer patients [human and animal]

according to that fundamental principle, and he claims high success in

many cases.

2. Boost and Rectify IMMUNE SYSTEM VIgilance and Competence:

I agree with Z'ev that this is a most important part of cancer recognition /

control. Indeed, the Immune System has close links with control of

apotosis ((1), above).

That is why I (for many years) have used the most powerful immune

points " (LI04, ST36, LI11, GV14, etc) as part of any attemot to help

cancer patients. I also advise use of immunoboosting herbs, such as

Ginseng.

Unfortunalely, I have not treated enough cancer patients to make a

definitive statement on the effectiveness of my attempts. However, my

strong impression is that my attempts did help my patients significantly.

Like every cell in our bodies, every human and one animal must die

sometime. IMO, our main role of healers / acupuncturists / herbalists is

to help our patients to attain optimum balance of spirit, psyche and

soma [optimum quality of life within an imperfect and hectic set of

circumstances] in the brief time that we live in this life.

May the Candles of our Life and Shen flicker brightly before the Evil

Wind, and other Pathogens, snuff us out.
