google scholar rankings

I know many of you have googled yourself and others, but have you

ever scholared yourself or others on google scholar. Google scholar

shows journal articles written by the author AND articles that

contain citations mentioning the author. I got two hits. One

article and one citation. The article was in JCM and I guess they

make submissions to some indexing service. I just guessing here.

Plus Nigel mentions me in passing once.

 

Bob Flaws has over 50, some are articles,but most are citations from

one or another of his books in someone else's article. Arguably

citations are more meaningful than publications since anyone can get

published. Citations prove someone else really values your work.

 

Nigel Wiseman has about 20 citations or references and so does Dan

Bensky. I thought Bensky would have been cited more with the whole

textbook thing. Interesting.

Anyone guess who the big name in peer review in TCM is yet?

 

Only 2 for Heiner Fruehauf

 

Ted Kaptchuk has about 35, but most seem to mention him in passing,

often as the author of the web

 

So it looks like the prolific Bob Flaws has made a sizable mark on

the mainstream medical search engine. Congrats for this small reward

for all your hard work.

Oh my. I didn't think I'd win, so I came without preparing a speech. I

just don't know what to say. This is all such a shock. Gosh, golly,

gee, thank you, thank you, thank you. First, I'd like to thank G-d

above. And of course I can't forget my mother and father. Thanks Mom,

thanks Dad, for sending me to private school. Next comes my lovely

wife Honora. It's no over-statement that Honora has always been half

of anything I have accomplished in the last 25 years. Then there are

all those great people at Blue Poppy: Bruce, Joann, Erenne, Kirk,

Amber, Rachel, Pepe, Sapphire, and Ricki. Oh my goodness I know I'm

forgetting someone. And oh yes, let's not forget world peace. Love ya.
