Guest guest
Z'ev You mentioned that you treat/have treated cancer patients. I presume you treat those who are undergoing orthordox treatment as well, eg chemo etc as many other TCM practitoners do. I was wondering if you or any other on group have ever treated patients diagnosed with cancer/tumor etc who chose not to have any WM intervention apart from the initial diagnosis? If so, any comments would be of interest. Heiko Lade M.H.Sc.(TCM) Lecturer and clinic supervisor
Guest guest
My cases would take up too much space and time to discuss right now, but I'll be glad to share them privately with you in the near future. Guest guest
Hi Heiko, I have treated both patients undergoing WM and not. Most recently had a patient diagnosed with CLL who chose not to undergoe chemo. His spleen and liver were so enlarged that he had severe pain and could not sleep. His spleen was easily palpated and felt all the way over to CV12. He had chronic low grade fever, nodules in the neck and groin. Also had skin eruptions. He actually responded incredibly well to herbs and acupuncture. His spleen and liver reduced considerably, the nodules in the neck came down. He was able to sleep and the pain was pretty much gone. His oncologist said she was comfortable with his course of treatment and just wanted to monitor him. While treatment was very effective at managing the symptoms, he was looking for me to tell him that I could 'cure' him. Of course, I would not tell him that. He searched out on the internet many alternative options and finally found a naturopath who told him that he could 'cure him easily'. After about 11/2 years of what I viewed as succesful management of his condition with TCM he went to get 'cured' by the naturopath. I followed up with a phone call about 2-3 months after he was seeing the naturopath, his wife answered and said that he was actually doing worse. I have not heard back from him.
