This cuts both ways. Perhaps the major ethical violation in modern

medicine is advertising powerful prescription drugs to the public via

the media, telling prospective patients to 'ask their doctor' for the

drug after a very persuasive advertising pitch. Also, the docs I

know who make the most money work for the drug companies giving

seminars in posh resorts to convince fellow docs to recommend

specific drugs.
